It asks children to: sort 9 positive and negative feelings about places in their lives (e,g., home, school, where they lived before Australia) by throwing labels into baskets; show how close they are to family members by constructing circles of relationships; rate their feelings of being nurtured (loved, listened to, not hurt) at home, with 9 illustrated and animated ratings and how often they feel bad; sort relationships and activities that help them to feel better or not, and to identify who helps them and how.
This computer-assisted interview is suitable for young people in the 14 to 18 years range. Other versions are available for children and for young adults. It focuses specifically on the sources and extent of young people's worries (with particular reference to worry about family members still overseas). It uses illustrated projective situations and choices to trace the extent of their worries and how those worries affect their everyday life; and asks the young person to construct interactive diagrams and open-ended comments to show who helps them and how.
